Title: Substituting OBi 110 for broken 100
Post by: bsdaiwa on January 03, 2016, 09:29:53 AM
One of my OBi 100's has failed and since I have several 110's, that are not being used, I thought I would replace the 100 with the 110. Does anyone know if there are any issues with using the 110 when no PSTN line is connected or using a 110 in place of a 100?

Do I need to disable the PSTN function in the 110 and if so how?

Thanks for any guidance you can give.

The PSTN connection is independent. I used multiple Obi110 without being connected to the PSTN. I eventually replaced them with Obi202.

Good Luck!

You shouldn't have any issues using an OBi110 in place of an OBi100.

Be aware that when using an OBi110, that the default is to send 911 calls out on the Line Port to the PSTN.  You can obtain and configure 911 on one of the SP Ports to override the default.
