Title: Amazon Echo integration
Post by: MMujo on January 10, 2016, 09:37:13 AM
Hello,

Are there any plans for integration of Obi devices with Amazon Echo (similar to what Ooma is doing). One can then tell Alexa "Call Bob", Obi would then dial Bob and ring the phone.

Regards,

Do not post the same question in more than one thread.

Do not hold your breath waiting for a useful answer.

Since you are a Hero member, why don't you post a useful reply, such as what thread to look at instead of trying to be cute.

This is a user-to-user discussion forum.  Obihai employees rarely participate.  None of us users have any insider knowledge as to Obihai's future business plans, and as of today, they haven't announced anything with regard to Amazon Echo/Alexa.

Sure.  I now have two Echo Dots (got one of the 2nd gen ones yesterday), and it would be cool if there was a way to make phone calls via voice command.

I can see it now:  Alexa hears me in the kitchen, and says, "Steve, you haven't called your mom in two weeks.  Don't you love her?  Shall I call her for you now?"
