Title: Both wifi and wired for OBi200
Post by: adatt on February 06, 2016, 10:49:30 AM
Can Obi200 support both wifi as well as Wired connection at the same time?
I need Wired for regular normal operation  and WIFI for internet fail-over condition. Will it support this configuration?

Thanks,
adatt

No. Wired or Wi-Fi.

In our case, I found the obiwifi was not worth it.  We did however find a better wireless solution that works great.  I wanted to set up our phone center in a different part of the house, we use one obi202 and two obi200s.  The wireless router is set up in one room, and the phone center is setup in another room using a wireless extender AP bridge.  All three obi units plug into lan ports of the extender.  I use two 2 line cordless phones, and a fax machine in my setup.  Clear calls and completed faxes are done all the time. lf I had used the obiwifi I would have needed three of them. So even though my system is wireless in a sense, my obi units are all hard wired by the lan port.
