Title: Dial number from Google voice on computer?

Is it possible to do this? I.e., dial a number from Google Voice or Contacts on my computer or tablet, then switch call to the Obi. With my old land line it was easy...

No, not exactly.

However, if you configure your Google Voice account and your OBi to forward calls to a regular telephone number, vs. using Google Chat, then you can use Google Voice's click-to-call feature.  In this scenario, you'd click the red and white CALL button on your Google Voice web page, then enter (or paste) a number into the dialog box, and GV will call you back on the forwarding telephone number to bridge the call.  Many of us use a free NY State DID number from Callcentric as the forwarding phone for GV inbound calls.
