Title: Possible to configure Obi200 to call numbers when phone is picked up?
Post by: claytonw on March 05, 2016, 06:05:27 PM
Hey all,

I just got an Obi200 and have hooked it up to an asterisk server on my LAN for a personal programming project. If the Obi is not receiving a call, is it possible to configure the Obi to automatically dial a number when taking the phone off the hook?

I'd like to set up something similar to help desk phones at an airport where you are automatically connected to an operator.

Thanks for your help!

Use OBi Expert to make the following change.

Physical Interfaces -> Phone Port -> DigitMap
Add rule <8005551212>S3| after the beginning parenthesis
It should look like this:
(<8005551212>S3|[1-9]x?*(Mpli)|[1-9]S9|[1-9][0-9]S9|911|**0|***|#|**1(Msp1)|**2(Msp2)|**8(Mli)|**9(Mpp)|(Mpli))

If nothing is dialed after 3 seconds, 8005551212 will be called.
