Title: Key tones too short/don't work for telephone selection menus
Post by: aznem on March 14, 2016, 06:43:22 PM
I have an OBi 1032 and it seems the key tones are too short and won't register for telephone menu selections when I need to dial an extension or select an option. Is there a way to lengthen the key tones within the device or is this a known issue with a fix somewhere?

Thank you!

Hi:

Log into your OBiTALK portal.  Click the device name to get to the basic configuration menu.  Get into OBi Expert configuration mode (scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the button, etc.).

Click on Service Providers -->ITSP Profile X General (where X = the SP you are using, A through F corresponding to SP1 -- SP6.).  Remove the check mark next to the parameter "X_UseFixedDurationRFC2833DTMF".

Scroll down and submit your change.  Watch and wait for your phone to reboot.  Try the tones again, holding down the keys a bit longer.  Did that solve it?  If not, go back to that same page, and change DTMF Method from "Auto" to "InBand", submit, reboot and try again.
