Title: setup obi100 with asus rt-n56u
Post by: missionsjc on March 21, 2016, 07:03:22 PM
my obi100 works fine with asus rt-n10. had to upgrade to n56u and my obi just won't connect. wonder what is blocking. i disabled firewall on my router.  anything else that i should do? power light is blinking solid green. there is no lights blinking for internet.

2. also i stopped seeing obi on my wireless router as one of connected devices. on both old and new ones. it works with old router and is configured on my obitalk portal. it gets an ip address via dhcp but it won't show?

thanks.

The Obi is not getting an IP address from the router for some reason.  That reason is not the router's firewall so you should reinstate that.

Try configuring a static IP address as per https://www.obitalk.com/info/faq/Troubleshooting-sec/configure-a-static-IP.  Even if that is not your preferred long term fix it could be a useful troubleshooting step.
