Title: Provider error code 503
Post by: Reno911 on May 03, 2016, 10:10:55 AM
I have an OBi200 connected to Google and I'm getting disconnected tone, then "Provider error 503". I"ve checked all my Obi and Google settings and everything looks good. The problem seems to be between Obitalk and Google. Is there a way to test that?

Hi:  that suggests you have made a mistake somewhere in the configuration steps.  Possibilities include being signed into the wrong Google account (an account that doesn't have Google Voice set up yet), or the authentication to your Google account failed.

Rather than guess, the best approach would be to delete your OBi off of your OBiTALK dashboard, then factory reset the OBi (press ***8 and then press 1 on the attached telephone) and start over from scratch, first adding the OBi back to your OBiTALK dashboard.

Read and follow my detailed instructions here, to make sure you have not missed anything:

Be absolutely sure that you are not logged into any Google account other than the one that holds your Google Voice number.  First: log out of all things Googley on all your web browsers.  Clear the browser's cache, cookies and history, close and then reopen the browser.  Go here and log in:  https://www.google.com/voice#phones (https://www.google.com/voice#phones)

Look at the left side of the page, and confirm that it says the exact two words, "Your Number", and not any other phrase.  Leave that web page open, press Ctrl-T to open a new browser tab, and log into your OBiTALK account.  This will ensure that the correct Google account is being used.
