Title: Red poer LED on OBI100
Post by: Payam on September 07, 2016, 08:48:53 AM
Hi,

I have an OBI 100 adapter and I have been using it for that two years.  I just noticed that my line is not working and I saw the power led is solid red. I did a research and  and it was said the solution is to factory rest that. I did the paper clip reset but nothing changed. I did that many times.
Before the device fails I remember, the night before I plugged out my internet modem. Can that cause this problem?

Unplugging your internet modem should have no permanent effect on your OBi.

Are you performly the reset correctly? https://www.obitalk.com/info/faq/Troubleshooting-sec/How-to-Factory-Reset

Yes, I followed the same instructions. What I noticed when I press the rest pin the lights dont change.
I tried to unplug the device and press the pin and then plug in. But that didnt work either

You can try a different 12 volt 1+ amp power supply. If you don't have an extra, just try the PSU from your router or modem. If it fixes the problem then buy a new one.
