Title: Outbound audio dropouts (blips) on calls with GV
Post by: slowbiscuit on July 16, 2011, 09:36:03 AM
My Obi has been working great since I enabled STUN, no problems making or receiving calls.  However, every call we have (inbound or out) has audio dropouts outbound (from our location) with GV.  Other party hears regular blips in voice and we sometimes have to repeat stuff, so it looks like the Obi or GV is dropping packets outbound.

I have latest FW loaded (2384) and am using the Obi behind a Linksys WRT54GL w/Tomato 1.28 firmware.  Router has been rock-solid.  I also see no packet loss when pinging the GV server, but my RTP stats do show some packet loss.  Any ideas?

Rather than SP1 RTP statistics, which is some statistics on all the calls (inbound/outbound) going through this trunk, you might check on call status page, which has real time statistics on a particular call, if you experience any voice problem.

If SP1 is configured as GV, the first thing you might wanna do is to compare calls via Google chat, i.e., make/receive a call through G-mail in your browser. If you has same problem, then, it is very likely due to GV service.
