Title: OBi 110 end-of-life question
Post by: Jon9999 on January 23, 2017, 07:27:48 PM
I just got the email announcing the end-of-life of the OBi 110 product.

QuoteOn August 12, 2016, the OBi100 and OBi110 were announced End of Life (EOL). With EOL, Obihai will no longer develop and release software updates for these devices. 2017 is also the last year you can purchase Premium Support for the OBi100 and OBi110.

Can someone from OBi please clarify: Does this mean my OBi 110 will stop working entirely? Does this mean that Google Voice will stop working on my OBi 110? Does this mean that I will no longer be able to change the settings on my OBi 110 through the OBi Talk website?

Or is it just that you'll no longer be releasing firmware updates (which you haven't done in a few years, anyway, I think) and that I won't be able to purchase a service contract (which I haven't done ever, anyway)?

You've already taken away my OBiON when my Android phone updated itself to Marshmallow, with no replacement. I hope you're not also planning to kill my OBi 110 itself.
