Title: Can I transfer calls between two OBI 202 (google voice)
Post by: TyroDave on February 17, 2017, 08:42:37 AM
I have two OBI 202's each configured to use different google voice accounts.  I am using plain, old fashioned analog touch-tone telephones at each box.

If I am on a call received at box #1, is it possible to transfer the call to the other OBI box?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Yes, you can with multiple OBi devices (i.e. OBi200 ATA, OBi202 ATA, OBi1022 IP Phone, OBi1032 IP Phone, OBi1062 IP Phone)  and with Google Voice service.  Once you have added 2 of your OBi202 devices within OBiTALK.com portal, go to Link Devices and add extensions to both of the OBi202 devices.

Once completed, make a call to 1st OBi202.  To transfer, hit flash on phone, dial extension number + # (associated with the 2nd OBi202).  Transfer completed.

Best regards,

This feature use to work real well. However lately I have experienced a delay in the transfer process using a OBi1022.
I dial the dial extension number + # (Which then shows the green transfer screen and indicates "Trying"). It will stay on that screen for upwards of 30 or more seconds then finally connects and the dialed extension will start to ring.

Any idea why there is now such a delay? Also, the transferred call does not always hear the extension transferred to ringing in their handset. I have tested this and it is intermittent. Sometimes the transferred party hears the ring, other times it does not.
