Title: Using OBI200 with OBILINE as an FXO gateway for Wazo?
Post by: cvilledave on February 26, 2017, 08:41:27 AM
I've had great success in the past using an OBI110 as an FXO gateway for Asterisk/Freepbx, but am thinking of upgrading both hardware and software to something more current.

Does anyone have any guidance for setting up an OBI200 w/OBILINE as an FXO gateway for Wazo?   I'd like to give Wazo a try but I need to be able to connect it to a POTS line for incoming and outgoing calls.

The setup should be the same or almost so.

There have been comments in the past that OBi20x plus OBiLINE does not perform as well as an OBi110 when making or receiving POTS calls.  I don't know if that is still the case with current firmware.

I use a 110 with a nerdvittles version of FreePBX without any problems.

I don't expect that a 200 plus OBiLINE will give you better performance than the 110 so my advice would be to use your 110 if you can and wait to see if Obihai announce a successor to the 110 now that they have EOLed it.
