Title: OBi200 and Hangouts/Voice Cost and Questions
Post by: talkinggoat on March 14, 2017, 08:11:44 AM
I am thinking of getting an OBi200, to have my Google Hangouts number on an actual phone, rather than using the app. There are a couple questions I have, before I buy it though, that I want to get clear.

I already have a Google Hangouts/Voice number.
Am I correct that I have to set up an account, through OBi?
Does it cost me anything through OBi?
Will I be able to make/receive phone calls, using my Google number, on my handheld (landline) phone or will I have to get secondary service through another SIP provider?

it acts as a Google Chat client, and you can forward inbound Google Voice calls to it, and make outbound calls,
using your Google Voice account.
