Title: OBI110 and reinvite
Post by: mew_atl on July 29, 2011, 12:30:18 PM
Hi,

I'm getting started here, and have my OBI110 configured to use voipvoip.com's services.  Using GV, I experience no issues.  However, using the SIP through voipvoip, I'm getting disconnected after 15 minutes

Here's what is in the log:  End Call (481 Call Leg/Transaction Does Not Exist)

When I ask the provider, they indicate the following " Call drop is mostly caused by router's not supporting the reinvite packets."

They indicate I should update firmware, but that was done right when I set it up a few days ago.  Is this familiar to anyone?  What setting would I change?

Forwarding SIP ports (5060 - 5061) to the OBi might help.

While you're at it, you probably should forward RTP ports (16600 - 16998) also.

If your router has a feature called 'SIP ALG', try disabling it also.

Assuming the port forwarding is in reference to my router (Netgear WNR2000 v2), I've set this up and am doing empirical testing, we'll see if it cuts out at 15min

The default values in my Obi100 for RTP Max show 16798.  Should we change this value to match the 16998 that you mention in the port forward?

Thanks.

That's just for ITSPA.  ITSPB goes from 16800 - 16998.  That makes the entire range 16600 - 16998.

Aha.  Makes perfect sense!  Thanks, Ron.
