Title: Remote hangup delay up to 20 seconds
Post by: jreiter1975 on April 15, 2017, 10:00:18 AM
Hi,

I have an interesting  problem.  I have an Xfinity digital voice line that comes into a Obi110 as an FXO line and then to a Freepbx 13 system.

PSTN --> Xfinity DV --> OBI110 --> FreePBX

I can make and receive calls with no issue.

The issue I am seeing is when the far end calling party hangs up it is exactly 20 seconds before FreePBX will hang up the line. Is this normal?

If the internal party hangs up it is right away.  Granted I understand that if the far end hangs up first, then the internal lines hangs up seconds after, problem solved.

The OBI110 never receives the disconnect tone from Xfinity.  I had a Grandstream 503 that did the same thing.  I have to suspect Xfinity is doing this.  I have done wireshark packet captures and I never see a disconnect tone being generated.

The other problem is that when an outside caller calls in, if they hang up before the call is answer (still ringing) the call is never hung up and rings til it goes to voice mail or answered and dead air.

Any ideas on this?  Happy to provide more info.
