Title: Obi1000 remote forward?
Post by: wpsb on June 26, 2017, 10:20:34 AM
If i'm away from my obi1062, is there a way to set up call forwarding to an international number for my GV account?

In other words, I want my US line to ring on a foreign cell phone but can't physically set up on the 1062 using the "forward" button. I have $ in my GV account so I assume i'll just be charged per minute when people call and it forwards?

Or is it easier/possible to have my GV "ring" using the iphone app?

Thanks!

Do you normally configure your 1062 using the obitalk portal?  If yes and if you have access to a web browser where you are now you can use Expert mode on the portal to change most of the 1062's settings.

You would need to install a softphone on your iPhone, like the free Zoiper app.
Next you need an SIP service. I like the free Callcentric IP Freedom account.
https://www.callcentric.com/products/
Register Zoiper to Callcentric:
Host: callcentric.com
Username: 1777xxxxxxx
Password

Define a dummy trunk on your OBi1062, so it can make an SIP call:
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> ProxyServer : 127.0.0.1
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> X_SpoofCallerID : Checked
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthUserName : wpsw (or anything you want)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_RegisterEnable : (unchecked)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B

Define call forwarding:
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> CallForwardUnconditionalEnable: Checked
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> CallForwardUnconditionalNumber:
sp2(1777xxxxxxx@in.callcentric.com)

Instead of call forwarding you can have the OBi1062 and your iPhone ring simultaneously. This way you won't have to enable/disable call forwarding. If you don't want the iPhone to ring, just shut down Zoiper.

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> X_InboundCallRoute:
ph,sp2(1777xxxxxxx@in.callcentric.com)
