Title: Sharing Files on an External USB Storage Device
Post by: Ehecatl on December 22, 2017, 05:59:48 PM
Hi... I noticed the USB port on my new OBi200 and see it can be used to share files on a USB drive within a LAN or WAN.  I don't imagine it'd be possible to share files on the drive across the Internet, would it?

Depending on your internet connection (notably that your ISP is neither blocking ports nor using Carrier Grade NAT) it is generally possible.  However it requires port forwarding to be appropriately configured on your router.  If you don't understand that you probably don't understand the security implications either.
