Title: Switch Comcast to Fios - intermittent call rejected by service reason 500
Post by: kwaropay on January 18, 2018, 11:45:12 AM
Hi - I just switched from Comcast to Verizon Fios.  I plugged my OBI200 into the Quantum router and rebooted it.  Now the Google Voice phone works intermittently.  When I dial out most of the time, I will get "call rejected by service provider reason 500."  Only occasionally it works.

If I dial **9 222 222 222 to test, it works fine, except one time it would not echo what I said.

If I call my GV number from my cell phone, sometimes it rings, sometimes it doesn't.

Are there some firewall rules I need to configure with the Fios G1100 quantum router?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think I figured it out.  My entire network was unstable as I switched my devices from Comcast to Verizon FIOS.  My one Tivo was setup as a MOCA Bridge for my Tivo Minis to use.  But it turns out the Verizon Router creates a MOCA network and those two were colliding and causing massive amounts of dropped packets.
