Title: Obi200 use killing wifi, how is this possible?
Post by: Chuckles on March 13, 2018, 09:44:51 AM
I have AT&T Uverse. I connected the Obi200 yesterday, it was easy. It is hardwired, no wifi dongle. However, at that point the wifi from the router started to become flaky, it would freeze repeatedly. I disconnected the Obi and rebooted the router, everything went to normal. Some hours later I reconnected the Obi...wifi started freezing again.

I know this makes no sense. But I have repeated the experiment one more time, same result. All devices connected via ethernet cable continue to work fine, but wifi becomes unusable. After leaving the obi connected all night, this morning there was no wifi signal at all, until I rebooted with obi disconnected.

Obi has a somewhat unpublicized list of TCP and UDP ports that must be opened. I have tested it with those ports opened as well as not opened, same freezing.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Have you tried moving the Obi to another location?
