Title: How to avoid having two 911 services?
Post by: stealth94rt on May 03, 2018, 12:40:07 PM
When I first got my Obi200, I signed up for the Anveo e911 service offered on the site. Then I was interested in having caller ID name and saw all the posts/tutorials for the Callcentric free number, which requires $1.50/mo for e911 service.

So, if I try to implement the Callcentric method for getting CNAME on my Google Voice calls, then I will have two 911 services. How do I get rid of the Anveo one, or is there a way around the one required by Callcentric?

Thanks for the guidance on this.

AIUI configuring Callcentric does not configure your OBi to use Callcentric 911 unless you tick the box in the screenshot or make the necessary changes manually.

Whatever, the OutboundCallRoute can only send a 911 call to one Service Provider.  If you tick the box on the portal or configure manually to use Callcentric's 911, your 911 calls will no longer go to Anveo.
