Title: Obi-Polycom-Plantronics...which phones will live?

I am considering buying one Obi phone to travel with me and plug into any internet connection as a kind of portable office.

With the buyouts and mergers, which Obi phones will live and still work with Obitalk and such?

I got nailed once when I first bought Obi stuff when GV killed Obi support and don't want to get stuck there again ;)

The 1000 series will be around a while -- I'm guessing until stock runs out.  The 2182 is the phone with the brightest future.
