Title: On a Chrome browser attempts to make an outgoing call via Hanouts to ObiHai202
Post by: GCMartin on August 07, 2018, 05:21:19 PM
I have an 202 unit and my GV # is registered in the ObiHai unit so that inbound calls ring and I can make outbound calls.

In Hangouts, I have the option of making an outgoing call via my cell phone, my work phone or my ObiHai.

BUT, I selecting ObiHai, I get an error message and the outgoing call does not land on my home phone.

Anyone familiar with this problem? And, is there a fix or a circumvention?

Thanks in advance

It's working as designed.  It is displaying a list of all of your forwarding destinations, but you can't use Hangouts, despite it being shown.  You can only bridge calls via actual 10-digit telephone numbers.   Just dial the number on the OBi-attached phone.

If you don't like doing that, you can obtain a free inbound number from Callcentric, add it as a forwarding destination, and then have Google Voice call that number as the bridge.
