I was on an outgoing call (via GV) and in the middle of the call my call was "lost" and I received a dial-tone.
Upon further inspection after the fact I see that the OBI200 detected a "HOOK-FLASH"
from the syslog output:
Aug 19 20:51:31 172.18.19.19 Obi200: [SLIC]: HOOK-FLASH early detected: -576695974
Aug 19 20:51:31 172.18.19.19 Obi200: [SLIC]: TRUE HOOK-FLASH detected: 500, 0
Aug 19 20:51:31 172.18.19.19 Obi200: [SLIC]:Slic#0 HOOK FLASH
Aug 19 20:51:31 172.18.19.19 Obi200: [DSP]: set FXS(0) DTMF detection level to (1)
Aug 19 20:51:31 172.18.19.19 Obi200: [CPT] --- FXS h/w tone generator (dial)---
I can confirm that I (nor did anybody else) touch the phone switch-hook or dial pad on the phone
So the question is, what triggered the uncommanded hook-flash on the OBi and how do I prevent it in the future?
Thanks,
-TL
Hook flash is merely a brief break in the circuit between phone and OBi.
While on a call, even the **9 222 222 222 echo test, give the cord (between phone and OBi) and the plugs at each end of it a good wiggle. Do you get dial tone again?
verified, no loose or questionable wires...
