Title: Comcast Blocking Obitalk/Anveo?
Post by: sarhaynes on August 22, 2018, 11:47:43 AM
At exactly 2PM ET today (22-Aug-18) my ObiTalk 200 stopped talking to both Anveo and Obitalk websites.  When I attempt to access those sites from my home network on Comcast I get a "timeout" message.  I can reach both sites through my work VPN.
A tracert on the obitalk and anveo IP addresses show that it is not making past the comcast backbone servers.  (ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net and newyork.ibone.comcast.net)
Is anyone else having a similar issue??

What do you have for your DNS settings in your router?  Comcast's servers or someone else's like Google's 8.8.8.8?

I am actually using Quad9 DNS.  I was actually able to still do DNS lookups so that wasn't the issue.
However, after a reboot of my infrastructure (modem and router) the issue went away.  This was unusual in that it was only certain sites that appeared to blocked.  Usually when I have modem/router issues everything stops working...
