Title: Forward on No Answer
Post by: Dogzipp on September 10, 2011, 04:39:37 PM
How can I forward incoming calls on SP1, to a phone number using SP2 after X rings of no answer?

Thanks.

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> CallForwardOnNoAnswerEnable : (checked)

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> CallForwardOnNoAnswerNumber : SP2(12341234567)

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> CallForwardOnNoAnswerRingCount : X

where 12341234567 is the number to call using SP2 after X rings

I am correct in assuming that IF Google Voice is setup on SP1, that the number of rings ( X ) have to less than or equal to 4 to avoid the call being sent to GV Voicemail?

Google Voice answers after 25 seconds of no answer.  Therefore the call has to be forwarded AND someone has to answer the forwarded call, all in less than 25 seconds.

Altough the changed seemed easy, I could not get it to work.

SP1 is my SIP provider. SP2 is google voice.

After X rings, my phone stops rigging, and it's supposed to go out to my cell using Google Voice, but the call never arrived. Using SP2(1xxxxxxxxxx)

What does the Call History show?

Unless this feature got broken recently, it works.  I used to use it frequently.

I just tried your exact scenario here and it works as advertised.

After two rings on an incoming call via my SIP provider, the call was forwarded out to to my cell phone using Google Voice.
