Title: Help to config Obi300 using PSTN line into phone port with Polycom Trio 8800
Post by: Kaayyn on December 28, 2018, 09:00:15 PM
Hi,

I want to use the Obihai 300 with the Polycom Logo as a FXO gateway, is this ok?

The PSTN line connect on Obi300 phone port (Obi300 has only 1 phone port). Follow my step:
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile D  SIP -> ProxyServer : 127.0.0.1
Voice Services -> SP4 Service -> AuthUserName : OBi300
Voice Services -> SP4 Service -> AuthPassword : 123456
Voice Services -> SP4 Service -> X_RegisterEnable : (unchecked)
Voice Services -> SP4 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : D
Voice Services -> SP4 Service -> X_Proxy: Checked

In Polycom,
IP Porxy address: 172.16.1.158 ( IP address of OBi300)
Port: 5063 ( Follow X_user_agent port on SP4)
Domain: 172.16.1.158
User: OBi300
Password: 123456.

The problem is, my Polycom IP phone cannot register to Obi300.

If Obi300 can be use as FXO gateway, please show me what i missed for register, call routing for this case.

Thank you,

The port marked PHONE on any OBi cannot be used as an FXO port. Plugging a PSTN line into it is likely to cause permanent damage to the OBi.

Only the LINE port of an OBi110, OBi212 or OBiLINE is an FXO port and designed for connection to a PSTN line.

Hi drgeoff,

Noted,

But could you help me, why follow my step, still cannot register the Polycom Phone to Obi300 device. If i plug the Obiline into Usb port, please show me how to route the call in/out to SP4.

Thank you.
