Title: Unable to add Obihai 1022 IP handset to OBitalk console?
Post by: victorhooi on January 31, 2019, 11:49:07 AM
I have an Obi 1022 IP handset.

I've done a factory reset, and upgraded the firmware to 5.1.8 (4643).

I'm trying to add it to my Obitalk console.

The Obi Echo test is working. I was able to dial "**9-222-222-222", and it repeated back what I said to me. I assume that means my network connectivity is fine, right?

However, when I type in the number to add it

**5 <4 digit code>

I do not hear any automated prompt - on the phone screen, I do see a message:

Add device to (Exclamation mark)
Code sent to OBiTALK...<4 digit code>

But this disappears after a while, and the Obitalk web prompt times out.

Any ideas on what to try for diagnosis?

This is my current Obitalk configuration via the web interface:

It is not unknown for bits of Obihai's infrastructure to fall over. It is also not unknown for restoration to take some time.
