Title: Obihai 202 with Google Voice Buzzing on the Analog line.
Post by: pat_delaney on March 10, 2019, 09:47:06 AM
I purchased an Obi202 from Amazon and configured it for Google voice. I have a corded phone connected to it. Periodically when I pick up the receiver I can hear a buzzing on the line. I can swap out corded phones and the buzzing is still there.  I can connect to port 1 or 2 and the buzzing is still there.  If I power cycle the device the buzzing goes away.  This is the second time I have noticed this in the last 6 weeks. I want to cancel my landline, but at this point I'm not comfortable with the stability of the device.

Any thoughts on what is causing the buzzing?

It sounds like power line hum.  Is it on top off something electrical?

Try moving the location of your Obi device and see if it goes away.
