Title: Red/Green Flashing Power Light
Post by: Bob99 on March 23, 2019, 09:52:13 PM
Hi All-

I just started experiencing the alternating red/green flashing power light on my Obi202 and none of the posted troubleshooting steps worked.  I don't know where to go next and would appreciate any advice you may have.

All the things I have tried unsuccessfully:

Tried power cycling the adapter a few times
Tried doing a firmware update by directly going to the adapter IP address and uploading the latest firmware (downloaded from the forum)
Tried doing a hard reset using a paperclip multiple times

All of the instructions I have attempted unsuccessfully:

If you read the thread wherein drgeoff mentioned that OBi 200 and 202 devices have different methods of accessing the local web server, and you were able to get to the device's web page, and you tried to upload the firmware, but it failed during the upload, then the device has bad flash memory and it's toast.  If you couldn't get to the web page, it means either you didn't follow the correct procedure to get to the web page, or your device is completely fried.  There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Try a different 12v power supply.
