Title: Out of warranty OBI200
Post by: ceg3 on April 26, 2019, 07:00:17 AM
At the risk of being totally trashed for poor research :D am I right in reading that we can no longer manually upload firmware updates?  To be honest, I haven't paid too much attention to my setup in a while, since I haven't had any issues.  It occurred to me I had not noticed a update in a while and have not paid the 10.00 for support.

I'm showing 3.2.2 (Build: 5898EX) I have updating set to OBiTALK settings, so I might very well be current, but in the back of my mind I was only somewhat aware of out of warranty devices not getting updates. I tried to login and upload a file, but kept getting a checksum error.

5921 is available from the 'official Obihai" thread http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0.

That checksum error usually appears when you attempt to downgrade.  Now that the firmwares are signed the checks are now more stringent than they used to be.

That is good to know. I didn't know they had started listing updates on that page again. I'll have to start checking it once in a while again.

All right!  Thanks much!  Now, to somehow keep this link in a place I can remember to look. :D  Older I get, the harder that is.
