Title: Anveo E911 on multiple OBi devices
Post by: SamViking on July 16, 2019, 10:09:35 AM
Quick question. I just installed my first OBi200 device in my living room and am considering getting one for my game room as well in the basement. If I get Anveo E911, will the service work on both devices or do I need to purchase the service twice?

Per Anveo E911 Service account is per unit only.

Do you really need more OBis?

An OBi works fine with multiple phones connected to it via house phone wiring PROVIDED that said house phone wiring is properly isolated from any other phone service.

You can route 911 calls from OBi#2 over your local network to OBi#1 and then out Anveo. This requires OBi Expert configuration changes on both boxes.

Why use a wired phone?
For about the same cost as two Obi units you can get a three-handset cordless system with
Talking Caller ID
Call Blocking
List of missed calls
Answering machine
Directory for outgoing calls,
Intercom Dialing
Speakerphone
One button redial
Call Hold
etc.......
