Title: What exactly is the "OBiTALK Service" under the "Voice Services" menu?
Post by: TTCP on December 29, 2019, 12:09:06 PM
Hi, can someone explain to me what exactly is the "OBiTALK Service" feature under the "Voice Services" menu?

Also, it seems if I manage my OBI units through the OBI portal site, this "OBiTALK Service" feature is always enabled. I cannot disable it. Why?

OBiTALK service is the built-in service provider that enables any OBiTALK device to call any other OBiTALK device, by keying in **9 followed by the nine-digit OBi number printed on the bottom of the device you wish to call.  There is no reason to disable it.

Will this feature still work if one or both OBI units are not maintained in the OBI portal site?

Yes.  Why don't you simply try it?
