Title: Obi212 cannot get connected to the local router
Post by: Milos on January 24, 2020, 07:49:31 PM
My Obi212 got disconnected from the cell phone yesterday (using the Bluetooth adapter), so I recycled power. Nothing else changed. After that, this device couldn't get connected to the router anymore. The power light is green, so everything seems to be OK. I recycled power several times after that, I rebooted the router several times too, but nothing helped. I cannot see this device in the router's list of local addresses issued.

There are several other devices (both wired and wireless) connected to the router, and they get connected reliably every time.

One note: the second time I rebooted the Obi, I watched the  router's DHCP client table, and noticed that this device's local IP address appeared intermittently a few times in the first minute or so, but after that it disappeared, and I could never see it again. I wonder if that means that Obi's network circuitry is faulty.

I wonder if anybody has any suggestion on how to try to fix this issue.

Thanks,

Try another ethernet cable.

Might there be an IP duplication?

Thanks guys. My Obi finally got connected. I needed to turn off all the devices that were connected to the router with Ethernet cables, and turn them on again.
