Title: OBI 200 not working with google voice
Post by: blacklucas1 on March 05, 2020, 03:54:52 AM
I have used Obi 200 with google voice about 2 years ago. I stopped using it until now. I have updated the firmware along with resetting to factory defaults and then following instructions on web portal to link to my google voice account. On the web portal it says connected under the google voice SP. I cannot make or receive calls on my OBI. I get dial tone but that is it. I have even put my OBI on a DMZ with its own public IP to ensure it wasn't a firewall issue.

I also tried removing the 3rd party access to OBI from google and letting the setup process re-add it.

The only thing I haven't tried was using a different google account.

Any ideas? TIA

What do you mean, "that is it"?  When you press a touchtone key, what, exactly happens?  Do you punch in a phone number, but the dial tone doesn't stop, or does it let you enter the digits, but you then hear an error message?  Be more specific.

Pick up the phone and tap ***0 then 0# and write down the numbers it speaks.  What are they (this is the device's firmware level)?
