Title: Setting up a 202 on a "wifi internet" service = DEAD - nada - nothing ...
Post by: themessiah on April 09, 2020, 03:23:07 PM
My internet is "wifi" ... meaning not cable, Hughesnet, dsl ... straight over the air wifi to router ...

I get my 202 all connected and updated ... all lights are A OK ...
plug a phone in and get the dial tone and then dial and DEAD - nada - nothing ...

Is it a latency issue ?

Open to all answers and solution if any ...

THANKS

Some Wi-Fi internet services require login details to be entered on a page that pops up when a web browser is used. If that is your case an Obi has no way of doing that.

The dial tone you hear is generated by the OBi.  It will do that even with no connection to your router.

Log in your your dashboard at obitalk.com and check the status of your 202.  Is it showing as online with a green dot?

Sounds like the RTP ports are being blocked upstream.
