How can you have the device auto dial a starcode?
Tried Digitmap: (<:*55>) but it sent *55 to sp1

I think it is not possible. Star codes can only be entered from the phone port. See lines 3 and 4 of page 175 of the AdminGuide https://www.obitalk.com/info/documents/admin_guide/OBiDeviceAdminGuide.pdf.)
The OBi "sees" and actions them before dialled digits are given to Digit Maps so any manipulations/substitutions in a Digit Map are too late.
Thank you for that--
Can we some how do the action? in this case pg1 ?

Your brevity is not helping. Even when I linked to the ATA Admin Guide you did not think to mention that you are asking about OBiPhone.
I have no experience of configuring or using Paging Groups. I expect you can read the OBiPhone Admin Guide equally well as I can. However from my quick look through it I see no mention of using any star code, never mind the specific *55 one you opened with, to join a Paging Group.
The AdminGuide does mention configuring a softkey to join/leave a Paging group. See "Assignable Soft keys" pages 117/118.
@drgeoff
My apologies-
I set in star codes - Code 37 to *55,paging,pg1
If you dial *55 it will allow you to multicast across the network.
(voice services ---> Page Groups)
I want hot line dial to multicast.
thank you so much for the information
