Title: Using a Motorola Will 1900sc as the PSTN
Post by: smart4x4pro on October 22, 2011, 06:18:18 PM
Hi I have a line that works with a CDMA Cell phone but the system has a Line RJ 45 connector similar to Sprint service in the US. This is not a VOIP line.

This is what they call a fixcell to have service when there are no wires by the company.

I want to free my land line from the OBi and use this line.

I am trying to setup the Obi 110 with this line as the PSTN but I have had no luck.

If I call the OBi does not recognize the call, does not answer it or forward it.

Any ideas what paramaters I should change to make it work??

Thanks in advance.

Assuming that you can call out ok on th 1900sc from the OBi, try setting (in Physical Interfaces->LINE Port->Ring Detection) RingThreshold to 19.35-23.65 and/or RingValidationTime to 150.

If no luck, report what is shown for Line Port Status when you are ringing the 1900sc (and the OBi is failing to answer).
