Title: 1062 Hunt Group
Post by: Lavarock7 on December 22, 2020, 03:29:03 PM
I am looking to set up a hunt group on a 1062. Is that function available on the 1062? I see it mentioned on the 5xx series.

I have LINE 1 configured but if there is already an active call, I want the next call to go to LINE 2.

The 1062's call routing features are mostly the same as the ATAs.  There's no local hunt group function.  The best way to create and manage hunt groups is via your service provider's dashboard.

What is Line 2 on a 1062? Where exactly do you want to route the call?

The 1062 has 6 line buttons on the upper right of the display. We use them for inbound/outbound calls and extensions.

I want to use a spare position for a second inbound call, the first line rolling over to the second.

I know I can use the provider to create another extension and have it send a ca;ll to the second position, I was just hoping I could do it in the phone. It would have been 'send the next call to an unused position if the first line is busy'.

What is the spare position? SP2? Do you have a provider defined on that position? What provider?

Do you want to put the SP1 call on hold then answer the SP2 call by pressing the 2nd Line key?

Do you have the Line keys defined as Call Appearance?

You can loop the 2nd SP1 call to SP2 when SP1 is busy. This looping is a hack and the OBi110 acts differently than the OBi200. I have an OBi1032, but haven't tried the looping on it. I can try it tomorrow and then show you how after your response to the above questions.
