Title: OBi110 to phone volume too high!
Post by: Sanjuro on October 28, 2011, 12:00:52 AM
I just set up my OBi110 with GV and it works great.  However the call volume coming out of the phone is crazy loud, even after I went into advanced settings and set ChannelTxGain to -12 for the PHONE port.  Any other places I can tweak to make the OBi to phone volume lower?

Phone Port "ChannelTxGain" is really the only place for you to adjust the volume, if that does not make much difference to you (any difference?), you may consider using a different analog phone for a try ...

Thanks LeftRight.  It does make a difference, but I discovered the true cause of the problem:

My Polycom Soundstation 2 apparently has been known for its massive volume.  I tried it on another phone and the volume was ok.  Solution resulted in keeping ChannelTxGain at -12 and putting a mug over the conference phone.
