Title: Ringing test
Post by: Usually_Befuddled on November 07, 2011, 09:59:41 PM
I'd like a way to test my GV setup is actually ring my phone. Not sure how to best do so, but it would give me confidence that things work. There's a echo server, why not a call-back #?

You can have the Auto Attendant call you : **0  ->  3  ->  0#

I've not gotten that far in RTFMing; does it apply to GV?

The Auto Attendant is part of the OBi.

The echo server is provided by Obihai, not Google.

If you want a feature to have Google Voice call you, you'd need to make that request to Google.

Why not simply call your Google Voice number from a cell phone or a PSTN line?

Because I have neither available here....

And I do want to test end-to-end; i.e. have GV do the calling. I know the phone rings [How can it break, considering?....] but I have fought with GV re: {not}ringing the whole trip...that's why I bought the 100

The websites have worked for me and are helpful for testing end-to-end functionality.
