Title: How to receive calls from my POTS line on my OBi?
Post by: Cal-OhBee on December 18, 2011, 10:37:26 PM
How do I receive ringing on the OBi phone port from an incoming call on the OBi PSTN line port?  This is assuming I don't have SP1 & SP2 service providers set up.  The OBi does use the PSTN port as the primary outgoing service with the default settings per OBi documentation.  But is it possible to receive ringing and incoming calls from the PSTN port (where I connected it to my POTS line)?

By default, the OBi PHONE Port should ring on an incoming call from any of the four trunks (SP1 Service, SP2 Service, OBiTALK Service, or LINE Port).  In the case the LINE Port, ringing on the PHONE Port won't start until the second ring on the LINE Port has been received.  This is to allow the OBi to decode any CallerID that might be present between the first and second ring so it can pass it along to the PHONE Port.
