Title: New model?
Post by: bukzin on December 24, 2011, 07:54:35 AM
I have been hearing about the upcoming new Obi box, the 202.

Looks like an excellent extension to the line.

Anyone have more info on this 'router version'?

$60 is still pretty reasonable for what one will get.

Edit: Just noticed this is more akin to a dressed up Obi100 than an Obi110 since there's no Line out port.

nice, a built-in router so it will be able to finally control bandwidth to its fullest potential, for best qos to itself -- just like ooma.

Cool, I'd like to try one of those out when they become available. Wonder if the USB port could be used to add a LINE PORT adapter type device to to add in support for analog phone lines.

That would be a far-seeing proposition. Line-out could be an FXO or as one poster requested, a GSM modem.
