Title: audio gain control over the VOIP/SIP line?
Post by: lk96 on December 24, 2011, 08:12:08 AM
Hello:

I have connected a Grandstream GXV3175 phone with the Obi100 and configured
it such as Google V calls are ringing also the GS phone.

The issue I encountered (and was apparently known with Grandstream phones) is that
when using the headset, the mic gain/volume is so low that the remote participant complains.
And when I go to speaker phone the callee confirms that audio quality has improved.

I looked through GS forums and info and there is no way to increase the mic gain.

My question for this forum (and for Obi folks) is whether there is a way
to control the audio gain through the obi.

I'm interested only in gain control for voip calls and not controlling the gain on the tx/rx of the phone
and line interfaces (I'm aware that the Obi support such control for the copper interfaces).

thanks

L.
