Title: Ring both SP2 and cellphone via SP1 at same time
Post by: N7AS on December 24, 2011, 03:29:47 PM
I have a ride reminder call me when they are to pick me up. Right now it calls my desk phone on SP2. I want it to also ring my cellphone if I am out or do not pick up the desk phone. I want all other numbers to ring just the phone port.

I tried this in SP2 Service > X_InboundCallRoute but did not work. I called from the 617 number thinking it would ring both, but just SP2.

{(1695xxxx|1617xxxxxxx):SP1(1360xxxyyyy),ph},{ph}

The first number is the ride reminder number. The second is a GV number I was testing it with and the third number is my cellphone number. Note that the first number callerID does not display the area code when they call.

All I want to do is if the ride reminder cals it rings ph and also my cellphone via SP1. Whatever one I pick-up first wins.

Am I missing something?

You must have the wrong CallerID(s) in the rule.  That rule works here, ringing both the PHONE Port and the desired number using SP1.

Verify that the CallerID's you're putting in the rule are exactly as displayed in Call History.

The callerID displayed for the ride reminder is 1-695-xxxx even though the area code is 360.
I am actually trying this out on my OBi110 and going to use it on the OBi100 I am getting for Chrystmas. That 617 number is only there for testing and will be taken out when everything is working.

BTW: Do I have the correct syntex for the rule?

Calls from either 1695xxxx or 1617xxxxxxx should ring the PHONE Port and place a call to 1360xxxyyyy using SP1.  The first one to answer gets the call.

What does Call History show when you call SP2 from either 1695xxxx or 1617xxxxxxx?

As I can't call from the 695xxxx number as it's the city bus company, all I can give you is from my 617 number...

Call 1   12/24/2011    15:09:56

Terminal ID   SP2   PHONE1
Peer Name
Peer Number   617xxxxxxx
Direction   Inbound   Inbound
15:09:56   Ringing
15:10:17      Call Connected
15:10:38   End Call

The CallerId is 617xxxxxxx *NOT* 1617xxxxxxx.

OH, Yea. You are right. I have been used to seeing a 1 in front of everything. Let me change it and see if that works.

I think you've got it.

The trouble with computers is they do exactly what you tell them to, not what you want them to do.   ;D
