Title: Help with forwarding calls to Telco Line on Obi110 when offline
Post by: mendel on January 26, 2012, 09:13:53 PM
My device is setup to use with google voice.

I have the Obi110, and my telco line is going to be a landline with no caller ID... just as a backup for incoming... for 911 calls etc.

I don't want all my calls going there... (as no caller ID) I only want it to go there when I lose internet...

Is this something I can setup in my Obi device? (on google voice the only option is to ring on both lines... which is problematic)

911 calls use the LINE Port by default.

To have all other calls go out SP1 (Google Voice) by default, verify the following:

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : SP1 Service

To make calls through the LINE Port instead, prefix the dialed number with **8.

The OBi doesn't have a good mechanism for alternate routing in the case of Internet failure.

You might try setting:

Trunk Group1
TrunkList : sp1,li

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : Trunk Group 1

Then see if calls go out the LINE Port when you disable your Internet connection.  Chances are they will, but not until a substantial period of time has elapsed.
