Title: Renew IP on OBI
Post by: Hortoristic on January 29, 2012, 08:08:50 PM
I purchased new router and all is working however; OBI110 is using IP (when I dial ***1) from old router - even though I unplug it - how can I get it to renew the IP?

Assuming you're using DHCP (i.e. you haven't set the OBi to use a static IP address), it's getting a fresh IP address every time it boots up.  If it happens to be the same IP address as before (even though you've changed routers), that's just the way it is and there's nothing to worry about.

The challenge was the new router was using .100 forward - the old one was .10 forward - so the OBI kept trying to use the old IP.  I changed it to static - and that seems to have resolved it.
