Hello:

I am in Canada and would like to setup a GV account for a friend, also living in Canada.

One of the GV setup requirements is that it be able to call a US number to provide a confirmation number.

My question is, if I buy a US terminated DID number, will GV accept this?

It should. Unless you need a DID anyway, you might be able to accomplish the task with a free IPKall DID. I've had no problem verifying Sipgate, IPComms, and IPKall DID's in the past.
