Title: I am trying to understand the 'Call Back' feature of the OBi...
Post by: Robert.Thompson on February 17, 2012, 12:47:37 PM
Hello:

I do not understand the purpose(s) of the call back feature.

I have read many posts and the help  but I don't think that I understand most of the terminology.

Can someone explain, in newbie speak, what I might do with it.

Thanks,

Rob.

Great!

Is AA an all or nothing setup, ie, all calls will get answered by AA?

Thanks,

The OBi can be configured to answer all calls, or selectively based on CallerID, on a trunk-by-trunk basis using InboundCallRoute rules.

Great! (again)

What is 'not so great' is that I will try setting up AA on Monday - maybe you should take the day 'off'. :)

Thanks,

Rob.

You might find this POST (http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=2102.msg13284#msg13284) helpful as the OBi Device Administration Guide (http://www.obihai.com/docs/OBiDeviceAdminGuide.pdf) and some of the documentation on this forum are incomplete, unclear, and confusing.
