Title: OBI110 and phone power configuration
Post by: Name on February 22, 2012, 05:28:08 PM
I have the SIP credentials from Phone Power. I have difficulty in getting the OBI110 to work with that service.

Error message:
Backing Off (xxxs):Authentication error

I am pretty sure the SIP password is good.

Where should I look in the OBI and check?

I have the following settings:

ITSP profile B
Signaling protocol SIP is enabled

SIP: server IP
all other settings are default

SP2 service
is enabled

Authusername and password are given
URI should be default or should I enter anything here?

These are the only setttings (from Default) that usually need to be set for a SIP provider:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> Name : (provider name)
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> ProxyServer : (proxy server)

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthUserName : (sip username)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthPassword : (sip password)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> CallerIDName : (callerid name)

My OBi works fine with Phonepower.  To work around a strange problem (with my router and another provider), I have the following under SP2 service, which may work for you:

AuthUserName (10-digit PP phone number, e.g. 2123456789)
AuthPassword (15 Hex digit password from PP; your password format might be different)
URI 2123456789@208.64.8.6

And under ITSP Profile B, SIP:

ProxyServer: 208.64.8.6
ProxyServerPort: 12060
RegistrarServer: 208.64.8.6
RegistrarServerPort: 12060

If no luck, post all information shown in SP2 Service Status.

It should also work with simply (everything else on SP2/ITSPB at Default):

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> Name : PhonePower
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> ProxyServer : 208.64.8.6

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthUserName : (Phone Power phone number)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthPassword : (sip password)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> CallerIDName : (callerid name)

If you enable sip credentials and configure Obi manually through ip address, will it affect e911?

Also is digitmap the dialplan?   Could someone post what default should be?

Thanks.
